The publication is undated, but carries this note: ‘This one-act monodrama was first produced by The Hampstead Theatre Club, November 21, 1959’. Oswell Blakeston (the pseudonym of Henry Joseph Hasslacher) was published by the Themersons’ Gabberbocchus Press; this copy has his inscription ‘All Xmas Wishes / Oswell’.
